Dr Richard Murphy
MBBS, FRACGP, FRANZCOG

Dr Richard Murphy was born and raised in Perth. His primary medical degree was obtained at the University of Western Australia.

Dr Murphy commenced specialist training at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) in 2004.  This training included a Fellowship year in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility with Professor Roger Hart at KEMH and Fertility Specialists Western Australia.

Prior to specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training, Dr Murphy trained and worked for a number of years as a Procedural Rural GP.  This involved studies in Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and General Practice.

He has a special interest spanning the spectrum of reproduction including Subfertility, Recurrent Miscarriage, Perinatal Loss, High Risk Obstetrics and Contraception.  He is able to provide all General Gynaecological Surgery.  

Dr Murphy holds Consultant appointments at St John of God Hospital Subiaco, where all his confinements are planned, as well as Mercy Hospital, Mt Lawley, Attadale Hospital, Attadale and Bethesda Hospital, Claremont.  In addition to this Dr Murphy works as a sessional consultant at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital.

Ms Jenny Vincent

Ms Jenny Vincent is our practice midwife.  Jenny trained in Adelaide, South Australia.  After working at Royal Adelaide Hospital as a Labour Ward Midwife for a number of years, she moved to Western Australia and worked at King Edward Memorial Hospital for many years.  She has great experience in high risk and general midwifery, which she willl use to guide you through your pregnancy.  

Jenny will see all obstetric patients prior to your medical review to ensure your history and investigations are collated and to provide you information about your pregnancy and the hospital.  

Jenny is available at the clinic from Monday to Thursday.

Mrs Lydia Cotter

Lydia will be your first point of contact with the practice.  She has had extensive experience in a number of medical practices.  If you have questions about whether our service will be suitable for you then please contact her.  

Lydia's knowledge and bright personality should ensure that you make the right choice for you.

Lydia works on-site from Monday to Friday.
