Dr Richard Murphy
As a gynaecologist and obstetrician in Perth, I love developing relationships with people, families, couples and seeing them move through the process from starting to completing their families.
I am experienced in providing the full range of care from preconception counselling, infertility treatment, management of recurrent miscarriage, pregnancy loss, the obstetric care both low and high risk. My gynaecological interests often tie into the obstetric side, for example infertility treatments and investigations, and gynaecological surgery to assist in fertility. I also perform general gynaecology such as colposcopy, management of heavy or painful periods and menopause. I do not do hysterectomies and refer to a colleague if this is needed.

I do not perform surgery where there is no proven evidence of benefit for the patient’s presenting problem and I am aware that any gynaecological surgery can impact subsequent fertility.
